This is a project completed in Wayfinding Systems at OCAD University. The project was to review, critique and then redesign the wayfinding system for the Toronto PATH system including re-designing the map in two orientations: North and South as well as other directional signs.
Sample signs were designed for all situations that you could encounter while walking on the path. There is a simulated grid placed over the signs to demonstrate how the signs were laid out. The signs would be hung from the ceiling so that they would be visible for people of all heights in a high traffic area.
These signs would appear throughout the PATH and have a consistent layout depending on the decision point at which the sign is placed.
